Campus Emergency Operation Plan
"Basic Plan"
The purpose of the Campus Emergency Operations Plan is to provide operational guidance for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery actions to prevent or minimize injury and/or death to people and damage to property resulting from emergencies and/or disasters of natural, manmade or technological origin.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Campus Emergency Operations Plan is the guide for campus response and recovery operations and outlines specific actions in support of local and Champaign County response and recovery activities.
A portion of the Campus Emergency Operations Plan, specifically the “Basic Plan” is posted on the Division of Public Safety’s website pursuant to guidance from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and the State of Illinois “Campus Security Enhancement Act” (29 ILL. ADM. CODE 305) requirement.
